From Newburgh and West
Take I-87 to Exit 17, I-84. Follow local signs to I-84 East across the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. 1st exit, turn right onto Route 9D South. Turn left at the third traffic light onto Main Street, 6 blocks on left. Look for our orange awnings.
From NYC and NJ
Take Upper Level of George Washington Bridge New Jersey bound. 1st right off Bridge to Palisades Parkway North to the end. At rotary, take 6 East/202 across Bear Mountain Bridge. 1st left onto Route 9D North 16.5 miles to Beacon. At the fourth traffic light in Beacon (just past Beacon City Hall), turn right onto Main Street, 6 blocks on left.
From Connecticut and East
Take I-84 West to Exit 11, Route 9D. Turn left onto Route 9D South. At the third traffic light after the bridge turn left onto Main Street, 6 blocks on left.
From Albany and North
NYS Thruway South to Exit 17, I-84 East across the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. 1st exit, turn right onto Route 9D South. Turn left at the third traffic light onto Main Street, 6 blocks on left.

Beacon Arts Community Association
BACA initiated Beacon Second Saturday and has created an arts community in Beacon. It is a not-for-profit organization whose members include artists, galleries, specialty shops, antique stores, restaurants, services, and supporters of the arts. Activities include Beacon Second Saturday, the BACA website, the Beacon Guide, Art Along the Hudson, and events such as the Beacon Hat Parade and Windows on Main St. and more. Second Saturday Beacon is a city-wide celebration of the arts held on the second Saturday of every month when galleries and shops stay open until 9pm. Gallery openings, music are just some of the ongoing events.
Dia:Beacon is a museum for Dia Art Foundation's renowned collection of art from the 1960s to the present. In warm weather, April 15th to Oct. 31st, a trolley runs hourly loops Saturday and Sunday from the Beacon train station to Dia, to Main Street and back, to the train station.
